Refund Policy
Last Updated: February 1, 2026
1. Refunds and Subscription Cancellation
Cancel Your Subscription (Self-Service)
You can cancel your current subscription at any time from your MixMemo account settings under “Subscription.” Cancelling stops the next renewal charge. After you cancel, you’ll keep access to your paid features and any remaining credits for the rest of your current billing period, until it ends. Cancellation does not affect your ability to use MixMemo’s free features. When your billing period ends, your account will automatically downgrade to the Free plan.
Immediate Cancellation and Refund Requests
If you change your mind shortly after purchasing a subscription and would like to cancel the purchase and request a refund, please contact us as soon as possible—ideally within 24 hours of payment—by emailing support@mixmemo.ai. After verifying your order, we will follow our payment processor’s rules to cancel the transaction and initiate a refund. In many cases, we can attempt to stop an unsettled charge or issue a refund immediately after settlement.
2. Refund Time Limits
7-Day Refund Policy
Within 7 days of your first subscription purchase, you may request a refund. We will handle your request according to the rules below:
- If you request a refund within 7 days, we will refund the subscription fee for that billing period, minus the value of any credits you used during that time. In other words, if you consumed credits while trying the Service, we will deduct a prorated amount from the refund to cover the delivered value.
- Refunds are returned to your original payment method (for example, card payments go back to the same card). After we process your refund, it typically takes 5–7 business days to appear, but timing can vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
- Refund requests made more than 7 days after purchase are generally not eligible unless required by applicable law.
2.1 Refund Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a refund within the 7-day window, the following basic conditions apply:
- Unused value only: Refunds apply only to the unused portion of the Service value. We calculate the refundable amount by deducting the value of credits you have already used.
- Original payment method: We can only issue refunds back to the payment method used for the original purchase. We cannot reroute refunds to a different account. Please make sure your payment method remains valid.
- First-purchase benefit: Our 7-day refund policy is intended primarily for your first MixMemo subscription purchase. If you have previously subscribed and used the refund policy, we reserve the right to decide whether to approve refunds for subsequent purchases.
- Account in good standing: Your account must not be suspended or restricted for violations of our Terms. If your account has been terminated for policy violations, normal refund processing may not apply.
2.2 EU/UK Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer in the EEA or the United Kingdom, local law may provide a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (“cooling-off period”) for digital subscriptions in certain cases. If you have not used the digital content or services, you may be able to cancel within 14 days and receive a full refund. Please note that if you start using the Service immediately after purchase (for example, by consuming credits for AI generation), you may be considered to have waived that statutory withdrawal right. Even if the statutory right is waived, you may still request a refund under MixMemo’s 7-day refund policy, subject to the deductions described above.
3. Refund Process
3.1 How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify and would like to request a refund, please contact MixMemo Support as follows:
- Email us: Send your refund request to support@mixmemo.ai.
- Subject line: Use “Refund Request – (your account email)” so we can route your request quickly.
- Include details: In your email, include the email address on your account, the subscription plan you purchased, the purchase date, and (optionally) a brief reason for the request. Sharing a reason helps us improve, but you do not have to provide one to request a refund.
Please include the required information so we can verify your identity and locate your order.
3.2 Processing Timeline
After we receive your request, we generally follow this timeline:
- Acknowledgement: We will reply within 24 hours to confirm we received your request. If anything is missing, we’ll ask for additional details.
- Review: Our support team will review your request within 1–2 business days, based on your purchase and account usage, to determine eligibility.
- Approval: If your request is eligible, we will approve it and begin processing the refund promptly.
- Funds returned: After approval, we will issue the refund through our payment processor. Refunds typically appear within 5–7 business days on your original payment method. If you don’t see the refund after that window, please check with your bank or payment provider first, and then contact us so we can help follow up.
3.3 What Happens After a Refund
Once a refund is completed, it will affect your account and access as follows:
- Subscription ends: Your subscription will be cancelled and you will not be charged again. Even if your original billing period has time remaining, we may end paid access as part of the refund process.
- Plan changes: After a refund, your account will be moved back to the Free plan. You will lose access to paid-only features, and any subscription-included monthly credits will be removed.
- Access to notes: You can still view and edit notes you created. Your local data remains on your device. However, certain paid features (such as higher monthly credits or premium AI options) may no longer be available.
- Confirmation: We will send a confirmation email to your account email address with the refund amount, estimated posting time, and confirmation that your subscription status has been updated. If you have questions, you can reply to that email thread.
4. Credit Usage During the Refund Window
We understand you may want to explore MixMemo thoroughly during your first few days. We do not impose artificial limits during the 7-day refund window, but we do expect reasonable and good-faith use:
- Normal evaluation (✔): You may use your included credits and features during the first 7 days to evaluate the Service—testing different models, image options (where available), text tools, translation, and infographics. Normal use does not affect your eligibility, but the refundable amount will be reduced by the value of credits you used, as described in Section 2.
- Reasonable exploration (✔): We encourage you to explore MixMemo to decide whether it fits your needs. Using legitimate features in compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy is considered reasonable exploration.
- Abuse (✘): Please do not exploit the refund policy. For example, generating large volumes of meaningless content with a large number of credits in a short time and then demanding a full refund is considered abuse. If we detect such behavior, we may deny the refund request and flag the account.
- Commercial use during evaluation (⚠): Using MixMemo for commercial work during the refund window is not prohibited, but please use caution. If we determine you used MixMemo extensively for commercial output and then immediately requested a refund, we may treat that as an unintended use of the policy and may deny the refund. We recommend using the first 7 days primarily for testing and evaluation.
In short, we offer the 7-day refund window in good faith so you can try MixMemo with less risk. If you use the Service in good faith, we will honor this policy. If we see clear abuse, we may take steps to protect fairness for everyone.
5. Special Circumstances
5.1 Technical Issues
If you experience serious technical issues that prevent you from reasonably using the Service (for example, extended downtime, account features not working as expected, or access problems), please contact Support right away. We will do our best to troubleshoot. If needed, we may extend your evaluation period or provide courtesy credits so you can properly test MixMemo. If we confirm the issue was caused by us and materially impacted your experience, we may offer an additional refund or appropriate compensation at our discretion.
5.2 Billing Errors
If you believe you were charged incorrectly (for example, duplicate charges or an incorrect amount), contact us immediately. If we confirm a billing error, we will refund the incorrectly charged amount in full, regardless of whether the request is made after the 7-day window. We treat billing corrections as a priority and may work with our payment processor to resolve the issue.
5.3 Material Service Changes
If we make major changes to MixMemo that significantly reduce the features or value included in your plan during an active subscription period, we may offer affected users an appropriate remedy. For example, if we remove a core feature from your plan without a comparable replacement, you can contact Support and we may offer a prorated refund for the unused portion or other reasonable compensation after review.
6. Alternatives to Requesting a Refund
Before requesting a refund, you may want to consider these options so you don’t miss the value MixMemo can offer:
- Contact Support: If you’re unsure how a feature works or you’re running into issues, reach out to us first. Many problems can be resolved quickly with guidance.
- Adjust your subscription: If your plan isn’t the right fit, changing plans may better match your needs. In many cases, this can be more helpful than requesting a refund.
- Pause your subscription: If you don’t need paid features right now but may in the future, contact us to ask about pause options. In some cases, we can offer a short pause or delayed billing so you don’t lose benefits.
- Share feedback: If you’re considering a refund because something isn’t meeting expectations, tell us. We take feedback seriously and it helps shape our roadmap.
7. Anti-Abuse Policy
We offer refunds based on trust and a commitment to quality, but we also need to protect against misuse:
- Monitoring for abuse: We monitor unusual subscription and refund patterns. If we see repeated subscribe-then-refund behavior or suspicious activity, we may deny future refund requests.
- Multiple accounts: If we determine the same person is using multiple accounts to repeatedly obtain “new user” refunds, we may treat them as a single user, deny repeated refunds, and—when necessary—suspend related accounts.
- Excessive consumption: If you consume an unusually large amount of resources within 7 days and then request a refund, we will evaluate the circumstances. If we believe the intent was to extract service value rather than evaluate, we may deny the refund.
- Policy violations: If you violate our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy during the evaluation period (for example, generating prohibited content), we may deny the refund request.
These rules are not meant to punish honest users. We will generally honor refunds in good faith and only apply additional restrictions when clear abuse is detected.
8. Contact Us

9. Policy Updates

The effective date will be included in the notice. By continuing to use the Services after the update takes effect, you agree to the updated policy.
This Refund Policy is part of (and has the same legal effect as) our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
